My Journey
I founded Compass Vision, based in Welwyn Garden City, with almost two decades experience in the education sector. Throughout my career, including my time in senior leadership, I have developed a deep expertise in coaching both young people and adults as they strive to grow professionally. My journey has taught me that everyone has a unique next step in their career and life, and I am passionate about helping you discover exactly what that is, whether it is a small shift or a major transformation.
I offer an approachable, conversational coaching environment designed to help you step back, regain clarity, and map out your next career move with confidence.
What does Compass Vision mean?
For as long as I can remember, I’ve relied on a strong internal compass to guide my choices, both in life and in my career. That compass is shaped by core values, personal morals, and my experiences along the way. Alongside it, I’ve always held a clear vision of what I wanted my future to look like.
The name Compass Vision came from a simple realisation; connecting who you are today with where you want to be tomorrow is the hardest part of the journey. This is what keeps us stuck, however bold or clear the vision is. That is where career coaching comes in. As your coach, I help you bridge the gap between what makes you, you, and the future you want to build towards.

- Level 7 Postgraduate Qualification in Careers Guidance, the gold standard for career development professionals, ensuring evidence-based practice.
- Registered member of the Career Development Institute, accredited member adhering to their strict code of ethics and professional development requirements.
- Associate Member of the Association for Coaching, the leading professional body for standards in coaching.
- Professional Life Coach Certification This allows me to help you overcome imposter syndrome and the confidence barriers that we often have at various points in our career.
- BMus, PGCE, QTS
- Almost 20 years experience in the education sector, including in Senior Leadership.

When I'm not coaching
Away from work, family life in Welwyn Garden City with my wife and our two children keeps me busy! To recharge I head to the gym, go for a run, or bury myself in a book. I am also passionate about developing a modern day approach to a sustainable way of life. For me this means plenty of time at our allotment, looking after our hens, and continually looking for new skills to learn to become more self-sufficient (some more successful than others!).
I'm a strong believer that growth never stops. I’m always looking for the next challenge to push me out of my comfort zone and to learn from, both in my personal life and my professional practice. As the saying goes, "a ship in harbour is safe, but that’s not what ships are built for".
